Getting There and Parking
The start and finish of the event will be the Lee Valley Athletics Centre and we will have the overnight camp at Ascot Racecourse. You can be collected and dropped off at both locations and details of timings and driving directions are below.
Lee Valley Athletics Centre: Start Day 1, Finish Day 2
Address: 61 Meridian Way, London, Edmonton N9 0AR
Driving: The plan is to continue with the same provision as 2012 and 2013. This means a car park will be open on Saturday morning from 0630 until 1000. Drivers will be able to drop people off at the site in a designated drop off area. Those riders doing two days can leave their vehicle there from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon. Cars will be left at your own risk, however we will have security watching the vehicles throughout. The car park will close on Sunday at 7pm and all cars must be collected by then. Subject to confirmation, this car park may be a short distance from the start area but this will be confirmed as soon as possible.
Train: The Lee Valley Athletics Centre is surrounded by great train links from the city – click here to see them. The nearest tube is Tottenham Hale on the Victoria Line and the nearest overground station is Blackhorse Road or Ponders End. You are able to take folded and unfolded bikes on certain tube lines and a full map of what stations you can take your bike on can be found here. We recommend checking back with TFL before final travel to ensure you take account of any planned engineering works.
Cycling: You are of course more than welcome to cycle there with your bag and when you arrive you can quickly register and leave your bag with us for you to collect at the end of the day
Ascot Racecourse: Finish Day 1, Start Day 2
Address: Ascot Racecourse, High Street, Ascot, Berkshire, SL5 7JX
Driving: There will be parking available for people who are being dropped off or collected from Ascot Racecourse. There will be no charge for using this service and the car park will be open from 2pm to 10pm on Saturday. Registration opens at 0630 on Sunday morning for those cycling just Day 2, and the car park will be open from 0630 until 1900 to allow plenty of time for those being dropped off or for faster riders who may want to collect a car later on. All cars are left at your own risk.
Train: The nearest station to the racecourse is Ascot and it is under 1 mile walk or cycle from the finish. Trains run from here to Waterloo regularly.
Cycling: You are of course more than welcome to cycle there with your bag and when you arrive you can quickly register and leave your bag with us for you to collect at the end of the day.
