London Revolution – Safe and Secure in 2022 

After a challenging year for the Mass Participation Events Industry we were incredibly grateful to welcome cyclists, runners and walkers back onto London Revolution in 2021.

Throughout the weekend we incorporated a number of measures to reduce the risk of spread of COVID-19 amongst participants, crew and spectators. As we approach 2022, we wanted to let you know that we will be continuing to assess whether social distancing measures will be required on event next year. At this stage, it is clearly too early to tell what will be required next year, but we will continue to keep all participants informed as we build up to the event.

For those who took part in 2021, we offered a COVID-19 refund policy, and we are pleased to say that a similar policy will be retained for 2022.  The details of this policy are listed below and in more detail in the event  Terms and Conditions.

Your options explained

After a lot of work in the background, we are excited to announce the event is set to be back stronger than ever in 2022.

However, due to a series of factors the original date in May is, unfortunately, no longer possible. Instead, we will be hosting the event on the weekend of the 1-2nd October to round out the summer cycling season in style.

We have some big announcements due in the new year and after the success of this year’s event held at the end of September, we are fully focussed on making the 10th running of the London Revolution the best one yet.

If you signed up this year and can join us in October, there is no further action. Your place is automatically secured and we will be in touch in the New Year with our normal updates.  

If you had a deferred place from 2021, and would like to join us in October, you will shortly be sent a bespoke registration link to re-register and confirm your place for 2022. This must be redeemed by 31st December 2021.   

If you are unable to join us in October 2022, further options can be found below. Please be aware that the events industry is still in recovery mode after the pandemic and we would love it if you could change your calendars around to join us in 2022.  

The options available to you

TRANSFER TO A FRIEND

If you can’t make the new date, we’re waiving any participant transfer fees so you can transfer your place to a friend, family member, colleague or total stranger. 

  • Cost: Free of charge (we will waive the usual £25 transfer fee) 
  • Deadline to transfer free of charge: 31st December 2021.
    • After this deadline, the usual administration charges will apply as per the Terms and Conditions.

 

  • To transfer your place to another person:  
    • Participants who deferred from 2021, please email the team at info@london-revolution.com to facilitate the transfer. 
    • Participants who signed up this year: 
      • Log into your MyEvents Portal  
      • Click ‘Transfer Registration’ and fill form with new participants details. 
      • The new participant will receive a link to sign-up and pay for the ticket  
      • Once payment has been made, you will receive a refund within 10 working days of your entry fee (excluding booking fees) and any additional purchases

DEFER TO 2023

If you can’t make the new date, we’re waiving any deferral fees so you can transfer your place to the 2023 event. The date of this event is still to be confirmed. 

  • Cost: Free of charge (we will waive the usual £25 transfer fee) 
  • Deadline to transfer free of charge: 31st December 2021.
    • After this deadline, the usual administration charges will apply as per the Rules and Regulations. 

 

  • To defer your place to 2023:  
    • Redeem your deferral link first (if you are a deferred participant from 2021) 
    • Log into your MyEvents Portal  
    • Click “Additional purchases” 
    • Select the £0 deferral fee & checkout 
    • You will receive an event cancellation notice from us within 3 weeks and a refund of any additional purchases managed by Threshold, such as merchandise.

  • GPS trackers: fully refundable. Please contact Open tracking directly on: talkto@opentracking.co.uk 
  • Zoo bells: fully refundable. Please contact Zoo Bells directly on: info@zooeventsgroup.co.uk 
  • iTabs: Credit note issued which can be redeemed against any global event. You will automatically receive this credit shortly after the 31st December 2021.  

REFUND

As the date of the event being changed due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19, we are able to offer 100% refund of your entry fee (less booking fee) to participants if you are no longer able to join us. 

  • To claim your refund:  
    • Fill in this Form 
    • We will issue a refund within 3 weeks.  
  • Deadline to claim your refund: 31st December 2021 
    • After this deadline, refunds cannot be processed.  

 

Additional purchases managed by Threshold, such as merchandise, will be fully refunded.

ADDITIONAL FAQS

AM I AUTOMATICALLY REGISTERED FOR THE NEW DATE IN OCTOBER?

  • If you signed up this year to take part, you are automatically registered for October 2022 and there is no further action needed.  
  • If you had a deferred place from 2021, and would like to join us in October, you will shortly be sent a bespoke registration link to re-register and confirm your place for 2022. This must be redeemed by 31st December 2021 to secure your place. 

WILL MY EXTRAS ROLL OVER TO OCTOBER?

Yes, any additional extras such as merchandise, GPS trackers, iTabs will be automatically rolled to the October date. 

CAN I CHANGE MY PACKAGE?

  • Yes, you can change your package in the normal way via your MyEvents Portal. 

I purchased registration insurance with Active Refunds, will this roll over to the new date?

  • Unfortunately not. The registration insurance will expire on the date of the original event (14-15th May 2022).  
  • You can claim a refund of the premium that you paid by contacting Active Refunds directly on support@active.com 

Can I repurchase registration insurance for the new date in October

  • Unfortunately it’s not possible to re-purchase the insurance for the new date.  
  • If you have any queries, we would recommend getting in touch directly with Active Refunds on support@active.com 

COVID-19 FAQS

WHAT MEASURES ARE YOU PUTTING IN PLACE TO MITIGATE COVID-19?

We take your safety on event very seriously and we will ensure that we adhere to all Government and WHO guidelines at the time of the event.

We will continue to work closely with industry and COVID-19 Health and Safety experts to maximise the chances of the events continuing as planned. We will be continuing to assess whether social distancing measures will be required on events taking place next summer. At this stage, it is clearly too early to tell what will be required next year, but we will continue to keep all participants informed as we build up to the events.

WHAT IF THE EVENT CAN'T GO AHEAD OR IS CHANGED DUE TO COVID-19?

For 2022, if the event can’t go ahead or the date is changed due to COVID-19, we are able to commit to giving a full refund on your entry fee paid to date (less the Booking Fees), and any additional extras purchased and not received.

WHAT IF I CAN'T ATTEND DUE TO NEEDING TO SELF-ISOLATE OR BEING IN A GOVERNMENT IMPOSED LOCAL/INTERNATIONAL LOCKDOWN?

If you are unable to attend the event because you are subject to a legal requirement that prevents the you from attending the event (such as quarantine or self isolating), related to Covid- 19, we will waive the Participant Transfer Fee or the Deferral Fee.

You must notify the us via email by the time that registration commences on the live event, and you may be required to provide evidence of that the Covid-19 pandemic is preventing your attendance.

WHAT IF I HAVE ALREADY PAID MY DEFERRAL FEE AND THE EVENT CAN’T GO AHEAD DUE TO COVID-19?

If you have already paid your Deferral Fee and the event can’t go ahead due to COVID-19 and is rolled to a new date that you can do / to the following year, we will refund this fee.

IF I DON’T PURCHASE ACTIVE REFUNDS REGISTRATION INSURANCE DURING REGISTRATION, WILL I STILL BE ENTITLED TO A REFUND IF THE EVENT IS CHANGES DATE / IS CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19?

Yes, all participants, regardless of whether you have purchased registration insurance or not, are entitled to a 100% refund of their Entry Fee if the event date is changed or cancelled due to COVID-19.

DOES MY ACTIVE REFUNDS REGISTRATION INSURANCE ROLL TO THE NEW EVENT DATE?

Unfortunately not, your Active Refunds registration insurance is only valid for the original event date that it was purchased for.

We would recommend contacting Active Refunds directly to see if they can refund the premium that you paid on support@active.com.
